So much for my plans to post an entry a day. I actually meant to post this yesterday, but I’ve been having intermittent difficulties in accessing the Internet, (stupid Verizon, stupid Dell TrueMobile 2300 wireless router).

I spent much of Wednesday delving into the dark, underground world of WordPress Themes. Assuming you are viewing this entry close to the time I posted it, you should be seeing one of the weirdest themes I could find, a black and blue creation called Sodelicious Black 1.0, created by Swapnil. OK, its pretty crazy, but I’m not planning to keep it forever.

One of the things that surprised me about WordPress, (and life in general), is how nothing ever seems to want to just work “out of the box”. With the huge popularity of blogging today, one would think that “point and click” interfaces would be more of a reality than they currently are.

So anyway, I am working on my very own WordPress theme. I have the skills, I have the technology, now I just need the creative impulse.

Incidentally, you may have noticed that this blog is now monetized…and I am so sorry about that. (Sigh,) years ago, when I first envisioned creating my own personal presence on the web, NASCAR-like advertising wasn’t what I had in mind.

OK, next time: I am going to start reviewing movies! Yes, really. I’m serious.
